...and now endlessness has a middle.
You will notice that Sam's silly parents got him a broom and a watering can for his birthday. Never too early to get to work.

2nd Birthday
We have some belated memories from Sam's 2nd Birthday to post. Here is Part One - 'Endlessness has a Beginning.'

Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Horsy.
These are a few shots from our swanky digs at ZKM (Zentrum für Kunst & Medien) Karlsruhe where we were rehearsing music and developing electronics for the opera. Fancy and artsy and electronic-ky. You can see the restaurant where we would often grab some food/coffee/etc. and where Samuel loved to run around amidst the bikers and pedestrians.

And then here we are at the decidedly analog castle in Stuttgart.

Samuel likes wandering around here too, and has been practicing going up stairs "grown-up" style without hands.

Samuel's favorite activity is going to see the "horsies", which he indicates by grabbing your hand and with a rather uncanny sense of direction sets off immediately in the right direction calling "Horsy! Horsy!"

The little boy is happily visiting his Eberstadt family while we are in final rehearsals for the opera (which goes up this weekend). We're looking forward to seeing Sam on Friday!
By the way here is our backdoor at the castle:

Ok. Bye for now. ("Bye Bye." says Sam)

Happy Fathers Day
It is now the 21st here in Germany, so we can wish all the family fathers a Happy Fathers Day.
We don't have all the video of Sam's birthday ready yet, but we can celebrate the Day of Dads with another in our "goofing around with the computer camera" series. We find the singing pretty amusing.

Happy Birthday Sam!
Time to wish Sam a happy 2, even though he won't be totally two years of age until about 4pm Darmstadt time. Anyway, it's June 13th now, so close enough. Sam's asleep, but we can watch a video of him reading a book and enjoying his new poster earlier on birthday-eve.
More on the goings on to come (eventually).

Sam & Papa
We've made it back to Eberstadt still aglow from K's successful opera premiere, but have moved right on to work on the next opera.
Before his Oma and Opa got home from their recent trip, Sam and P were playing around with the built in camera in the laptop. Sadly the sound was inexplicably not working, but they had a good time anyway.

Mothers Day
So this post is dedicated to all of our moms for mothers day.
Here's a picture with Oma at Sam's school.

Just a few days back Sam was at school having lunch with his classmates and his teacher, Jessica, was surprised to look over and see him hand-feeding one of the girls sitting next to him. Jessica ran to get her camera but by the time she got back they had gotten down to the vegetables and that was the end of that. But when she came back from putting the camera away they were kissing! How about that. They start earlier and earlier.
Now here are a few more shots with Oma...

...and then a video with grandma on her recent visit:
Finally, a few shots of Sam and his mom:
