Christmas Morning

We had a busy Heilige Abend last night opening presents with the family at Marion's house.  And even with all of the presents the kids got, there were still more under our little tree this morning.

We had a lovely lunch that Barbara prepared and then did some more music.

Snowy December!

A fun day full of snow in Eberstadt.  We always have a nice view up in our treehouse of an apartment.

The kids did homework and then went out to the yard to have a snowball fight with the neighbors

Then they made a snowman with their friends Siri, Matthis, and Klara-Marie 

before heading over to our local village Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas Market). 

This is Sammy's best friend Matthis.

Sammy and Emma enjoyed spending their allowance!

And the pizza was pretty good.

Tent Rocks

To celebrate Uncle Chris being in town for Thanksgiving-break, all the ABQ folks took a family trip up to the Tent Rocks. [Note from Karola: I had to grade instead! Ich musste die Arbeiten meiner Studierenden korrigieren! 😒 ]

We also found snow in the mountains!

 

We made it all the way to the summit to appreciate the New Mexican vista.

We finally made it back down and out of the canyon and Grandma had brought sandwiches for lunch!
