Summer Pictures

One of the pleasures of summer is taking an afternoon break at Café Bini. Especially now that they have a fancy new gourmet coffee machine. These shots (accumulated about a month ago actually) don't show off the fancy coffee, but remind me of it nonetheless.




and Sabine is experimenting with her cheese cake book! Good grief!

Fathers Day - Vivarium

Happy Fathers Day to all of the papas out there. For our Fathers Day here in Eberstadt the kids took Papa to the zoo. We had a beautiful day (one of the few we've had this summer) and a very nice time.

Here we're having crepes with the peacock.

There was also a shockingly lovely albino!


The kids also enjoyed pettting and brushing the goats.



After a lot of walking around we had fried cheese with jelly, potato pancakes with applesauce, salad, and fries for lunch. And perhaps some silliness as well.




We also spent time at the zoo playground...


...and everyone's favorite impromptu playground: a rock.


Needless to say, we were tired out by the time we got home.
