Bonn days

We've been enjoying the sights of Bonn the past few days while the opera rehearsals wind down.

Of course we miss Sam very much, but he's having a very good time with Oma and Opa in Eberstadt!

Our accommodations at the University Club are very comfortable.

Emma has been playing with Grandma on playgrounds and in the leaves.

Emma also likes practicing emotions with Grandma (I think this is scared).

Grandma of course likes scenery that includes mountains and boats. The Rhein is happy to oblige.

--------------

Here is Bonn's Doppelkirche with two separate levels for two socioeconomic strata of clientele.

There is a lovely gallery that runs the outside of the church which you can walk in, like an ecclesiastical romanesque tree-house.

Finally, we had a nice walk in the cemetery and paid a visit to the Schumanns.

(Emma already seems to be learning to count.)

And here, on the way home, Emma took her first pictures (unbeknownst to Grandma and Papa).

It is fun to remember visually the memorable week I had in Bonn. Of course I also enjoyed the hospitality in Eberstadt. As always being with the family is the best part of any trip.
Love,
