Happy Mothers Day / Einen schönen Muttertag

Samuel thanks and honors his mother each and every day, but would like to make special notice of it this Sunday.

And then of course the whole family would like to honor the Grandmas/Omas: Barbara and Betsy!!

So, just for Sam's grandmas, here is a large screen-sized picture of the little guy.

Visit from the Most Aged P

We had a recent visit in Cambridge from the family's "most aged p", Great-grandpa Bert, who trotted up all of stairs to our apartment as if he were 39 and not 93. He was accompanied on the trek from OH by Grandma Betsy, seen here tackling the large "Very Hungry Caterpillar" we have from Giacomo.




We ate well and enjoyed the company despite the rain. We also got a nice photo shoot featuring Grandma's new outfit accessorized by the cap Angie Keeton knitted for the little guy. (Thanks Ang! We'll do a Bremen retrospective soon to compliment yours...)



Lastly, we've got some more video for you. I warn you, though, this one is HOPELESSLY long and boring. Yikes. Don't feel obligated to make it to the end. Disclaimer noted. Anyway, Sam had a habit of chatting/singing frequently during our breakfasts at the Royal Sonesta and reminded me of this old footage of him making his noises.

Whatever it's cinematic faults, I feel like it at least captures the spirit of nose-to-the-grindstone hard work we have around here.

Hitting the ol' Sandbox

Saturday was full of typical boring grownup nonsense, but did manage to break up the monotony with a trip to the local playground which was full of kids. Samuel enjoyed the sandbox scene.
